We're in the heart of Leeds city centre, exactly where you'd want a great Leeds pizza place to be. Easy to get to, buzzy atmosphere, and a pizza waiting for you the second you sit down (almost).

Walk-ins are always welcome, just rock up. If you're bringing a group, celebrating something, or just want to guarantee a table, booking ahead makes sense. We've also got feasting menus for groups of 8+, which is the most fun way to do enjoy pizza in Leeds.

In 2011 we began a pilgrimage in search of the best pizza in Italy. Since our return, we’ve spent every day trying to create our own perfect pizza. The pizza you’ll eat today has a double fermented dough topped with the finest ingredients we can get our hands on and baked at 500 ̊C to give a light, chewy and charred crust. Just like in Naples.

Pizza Pilgrims has been on a pilgrimage ever since 2012, when founders Thom and James quit their jobs, picked up a three-wheeled Piaggio Ape in Naples, and drove 4,500km back to London learning everything they could about the art of Neapolitan pizza. The result? A double-fermented sourdough base, the finest Italian ingredients, and an oven cranked to 500°C. Now we're bringing all of that to Leeds, and we reckon it was worth the drive.

Whether you're after a proper sit-down with great pizza and cold drinks, a quick takeaway, or delivery straight to your door, we've got you. This is pizza in Leeds done properly.

The Best Pizza in Leeds

Bold claim? Maybe. But here's why we're confident.

Neapolitan pizza is the original. The real thing. Made in Naples for centuries before anyone started putting pineapple anywhere near a pizza base. It's defined by a light, airy dough with a properly charred, blistered crust, cooked at extremely high heat for a very short time. Sixty seconds at 500°C, to be precise.

Our dough is slow-proved for 24 hours using a double fermentation process. That's what gives it the flavour, the chew, and that slight tang that makes good Neapolitan pizza taste like nothing else. On top goes San Marzano tomato DOP, grown in the volcanic soil around Mount Vesuvius, which is as delicious as it sounds, and Fior di Latte mozzarella sourced from the same Italian suppliers Thom and James met on their original pilgrimage over a decade ago.
