Our First Year at Chelsea in Bloom – and We Won Silver! 

Chelsea in Bloom is an annual floral street show that takes place around Chelsea to coincide with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Inspired by this year’s theme, Flowers in Fashion, Pizza Pilgrims decided to turn heads with a floral makeover of our beloved 3-wheeled Piaggio Ape. 

 Enter the “Fashion Polizia!”

Our original pilgrimage tuk-tuk was decked out in stunning Italian blooms and foliage, complete with a siren, of course!  

It was more than just a display; it was a statement.

 Our floral installation was brought to life by the talented Bloom of the Block , the creative studio of Leyla Husseyin, known for her playful and sculptural floristry. She wasn't phased in the slightest by our crazy request to pimp our Ape out and transform it into a floral fashion police van 😂

 But we didn’t stop there. In true Pilgrim’s style, we brought the Fashion Polizia van to life - our very own Gabriela dressed up as a police officer and handed out fashion fines in exchange for free pizza to well-dressed passersby. Now, that's commitment to the theme. The vibe was blooming, guests were loving it, and the team had an absolute blast! 

 In the kitchen, we matched that energy with a limited-edition ‘Pizza in Bloom’ that was as beautiful as it was delicious. A vibrant combo of creamy goat’s cheese, sweet red onions, peppery rocket, a drizzle of honey and topped with spicy edible flowers sourced from Kent. A true tribute to the artistry of the week and a nod to our Italian roots.  

The response? Absolutely overwhelming. Our Chelsea pizzeria was packed, the vibes were sky-high, and you guys couldn’t get enough. And the cherry on top? We won a Silver award for our floral display.  

 Massive grazie to everyone who stopped by, snapped a selfie with the Fashion Polizia and savoured our ‘Pizza in Bloom’. Your support means everything – we’re already cooking up ideas for next year.
